About Us
Welcome to the Lead Mine Elementary School. We are happy to have the opportunity to share our school with you. Lead Mine has a rich tradition of excellence dating back to its opening in 1990. Consistently honored as a School of Excellence or School of Distinction for the academic achievement of our students, we are proud of our accomplishments. Lead Mine Elementary was established in 1990. We currently have 544 students and 44 teachers. Our school mascot is the Leopard. We are using SchoolHeart to help us purchase globes and new maps for the classrooms. Thanks for visiting our site.
Technology is an integral part of what happens on a daily basis at Lead Mine. Due to the generosity of our PTA, and some district grants, we have updated computers in the classrooms, Media Center and labs.
While technology is important, it takes a back seat to what really makes Lead Mine successful, our staff. When your child comes to Lead Mine, he or she will be taught by an incredibly dedicated group of professionals who are committed to meeting your childs academic and social needs. The final link contributing to the success of Lead Mine is the unbelievable amount of parent support we receive. When the parents, teachers and students are all putting forth their best efforts, then success is inevitable. Thank you for your support.
Gary Baird, Principal.
